He was fire

I was rain

We joined forces in the deepest volcanoes
we shattered landscapes
and shaped them our way
we triggered raw emotions before anyone could
we found ourselves in the wastelands of fallen trees
we re-created refuges for our hearts

but still

                        we broke us apart.
